In 2013 UNC PCM was awarded one of the Campus Ministry Theological Exploration of Vocation initiative grants from the Lilly Endowment. It has allowed our campus ministry to increase many of the programs and opportunities it was already doing, but it also afforded us an opportunity to try some new things. The picture above is from our capstone trip to Montana (photo was in Yellowstone National Park) where our focus was on Psalm 46, "A River Whose Streams Make Glad." Over the years we have traveled to the North Carolina Coast, the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound, and Greece. A big part of this initiative is giving some of our students more opportunity to wrestle with who they are, who they want to be, and how to live out their Christian faith in this world. Yes, one goal of this program is to foster students' interest in entering work in the church full time, but it is also equally focused on helping all involved explore how Christian vocation plays out in their own lives- ordained or not.
